"LET'S BUILD A HOUSE OF PRAYER!" - TERMITES
DELIVERED BY ELDER WALLACE BROOKS ON SUNDAY, 26 JANUARY 2003

      If you're building a house, you've got to have a foundation. And you just don't want any kind of foundation when you're building your house. You're looking for something that's going to stand. "On Christ the solid rock I stand! All other ground is sinking sand." You're going to need a frame. Not only should it have a frame, Its going to need to have some walls. You don't want anyone to look inside your house at any other time with no privacy. In building a house of prayer, we can't stay on the same level. In building a house, we've got to have a roof. As much as we love the sunshine, when it rains, we don't want to get wet or rained on. We know that we need some protection. I don't care how beautiful the house is, there is something that can destroy it.

     You know what that is? Termites. They are little tiny creatures. How is it that something so small could do so much damage? Unchecked, termites will destroy a house! Many people are working to build the house of prayer, but in all their efforts somebody is trying to destroy it. And I'm sad to say that there are some termites in the house. We've got a Pastor that's building here in Atlanta, but we've got some termites who are trying to eat away at what he is building.

     To build this house, we must have the foundation of a spiritual mind. We need a frame because we need to stick together. We need some walls and a roof because we need to be protected. What do the walls represent? The walls symbolize our faith in God. If our walls are strong, then it [the house] won't come down. We need some steps because we are gonna have to go to a higher level because we can't stay where we are [on the same level].

     Don't let the termites hinder you from doing the Lord's work. If we are gonna build a House of Prayer, we are not talking about a physical house, we are talking about a spiritual one and the foundation of such a house must be a spiritual mind.
