Teamwork Counts
Over the last two years, the Madison Adult Choir has flourished! Following a reorganization by Apostle M. Johnson in March 2001 and the election of Sister Georgette Cherry as director, the choir performed for the first time on Easter Sunday 2001 with only six (6) choir members. Nonetheless, those voices rang out that Sunday morning as if there were many more. That was only the beginning as the choir has grown by "leaps and bounds" and today has nearly forty members. The choir attributes its
growth and progress to being blessed by The Almighty God, as a result
of their diligence and willingness to make every sacrifice necessary
to serve the Kingdom. These sacrifices have not gone unnoticed by our
leader, Bishop S. C. Madison. While performing during Miami's Convocation
in March 2003, Bishop Madison invited the Madison Adult Choir to sing
during our organization's National Memorial Day program in Washington
D.C. The invitation was quite unexpected. This service commemorates
the founder of The United House of Prayer, Bishop C.M. Grace and his
successor, Bishop W. McCollough and will be held in the newly erected
Civic Center in downtown Washington, D.C. on May 24 and 25, 2003. Story written by Back to For ALL People - Spring 2003 uhop.org
