Family Focus
The Morris Family "leads by example" and is headed by Deacon Willis and Sister Jean Morris, a happily married couple of 25 years, who are both descendants of South Carolina. Through the years, Deacon and Sister Morris have worked faithfully in the United House of Prayer. As a bandleader, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and banker, Deacon Morris held many positions in South Carolina before arriving in Georgia. For the last three years in Atlanta, Deacon Morris has served as our President of Presidents and played a leading role in the campaign to achieve "Victory!" Pastor, Apostle M. Johnson, Jr. has called him as "The Best President of Presidents in the Kingdom!" Sister Morris has also given undying services to the House of Prayer. Auxiliaries and groups that Sister Morris was affiliated with in South Carolina include the Nurse Board, Usher Board, and member of the South Carolina State Choir. In Atlanta, Sister Morris is a proud member of the Madison Adult Choir. She and her husband diligently serve together on the Madison Business Board of Atlanta. The Morris' have two sons,
Willis IV, 22 and Cedric, 16. Deacon Morris eagerly shares that his
most profound moments were assisting in their births. Willis IV and
Cedric have evidently noted the success of their parents and have proudly
chosen to follow similar paths. They both have achieved many academic
and athletic honors. Constantly, Deacon and Sister Morris are told they
have such mannerly and well-respected sons. Deacon Morris feels, "we
try to expose them to all of life's opportunities, while simultaneously
teaching and instilling Christian values taught in the United House
of Prayer. The world is a very complicated arena in which to raise children,
but we try to live by Proverbs 20:7 -"The just man walketh in
his integrity: his children are blessed after him." Story written by Back to For ALL People - Spring 2003 uhop.org
